Private instruction in prose and poetry is appropriate for writers who are still exploring fundamental issues of writing craft. Fee: $50/hour. Minimum fee per session, $300, which includes a professional reading and evaluation of up to 25 pages of work; discussion of suggested customized readings and teaching materials; and a one-hour consultation by phone or in person.

Private consultation in prose or poetry is appropriate for writers who are confident in writing craft fundamentals and who are actively working to develop content for a full-length book project. Fee: $75/hour. Minimum fee per session, $500, which includes a professional reading and evaluation of up to 50 pages of work; discussion of suggested customized readings and teaching materials; and a one-hour consultation by phone or in person.
